Has apple has really become the new Microsoft  ? .. or is that what the popular press would want you to believe? Android users would agree that it would be good to be completely open. and of course from a business perspective, apple has a point, but they also play a role in  protecting users from malware, viruses, and so-called "bricking" of devices. If people want fuck around with their device and mess it up, Apple is basically saying, "don't come crying to us when you fuck up your device and turn it into a "brick". As someone involved in customer care, I kind of have to agree with Apple somewhat on this too. My nintendo Wii wouldn't be repaired by nintendo because I forgot to remove "homebrew". And I felt like ... yeah, you guys have a point. What do others think?
