March Mingle
March Mingle was simply amazing, simply amazing! It was the place to be on a brisk Tuesday night in San Diego. It was all about unlocking the swarm badge. It seemed iffy at first. As I checked in to foursquare, and tried to get my signal, I was only #37 or so. As the evening progressed, we got to 43, and seemed flat for a while. Working the system, we recruited many to help us rile up final foursquare folks to check in if they forgot. 47, then 50! the crowd cheered!!! Like mana from heaven, push notifications went out to everyone in the place. SWARM BADGE. Immediately people began posting to twitter that they obtained the badge, and brag about it. It's only the 2nd time ever that the legendary badge was been unlocked, according to one unnamed source on twitter. People cheered, and cheered loud. All the tweets about it were being projected on the wall with some #marchmingle hashtag. The food was great, and the company was awesome. Afterwards the parties went 3 ways:
1) True North to see SO3 Rock the hause
2) U-31 for a more quiet conversation
3) toronado for a hipster crowd or something
I chose #1 and rocked out. Then I walked home.
